Brad Millington is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University in the Niagara region in Ontario, Canada. His research focuses on two main areas of interest: sport media and technology; and sport and environmental sustainability. Current work in this first area involves research into the implications of the rise of sports analytics for work and communication in the sport industry.
Research in the second area currently explores topics related to the climate crisis and environmental futures in sport. Brad is the author of the book, Fitness, Technology & Society: Amusing Ourselves to Life (2018), co-author of, The Greening of Golf: Sport, Globalization and the Environment (2016, with Brian Wilson), and co-editor of, Sport and the Environment: Politics and Preferred Futures (2020, with Brian Wilson). He was previously a Senior Lecturer in the Department for Health at the University of Bath, in Bath, UK.
