About Workshop
The aim of this workshop is to provide doctoral students with the opportunity to establish academic contacts and receive training on the key challenges they will soon face writing and publishing articles, defending their doctoral thesis, exploring job opportunities, and more.
This year’s workshop will be led by:

The session will be followed by a discussion with students and answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Adam Evans – Editor of the European Journal for Sport and Society [ https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/ress20/current ] will run the one-hour publishing workshop, is designed to offer the chance to discuss key aspects in academic publishing. This workshop will offer the chance to discuss a range of topics, from journal selection to constructing your response to reviewers. Participants will discuss factors that influence how to choose the right journal, including reflecting on journal scope, impact metrics, and audience. Finally, there will also be a chance to go ‘under the hood’ of journal processes, and to discuss the peer review process in detail, shedding light on the expectations of reviewers and editors, as well as strategies to handle both positive and critical feedback.
